- With the newest configure script, call ‘./configure.new dirupdate /path/to/project’.
- It will find all configure scripts in the tree (by name), and proceed to call ‘./configure.new reconfigure /path/to/configure > /path/to/configure’.
- It will chmod +x all new configure scripts, just for good measure.
- Blammo! Instant upgrade path. (So long as the variables and stuff remain the same)
