Additional Configuration Options
Radiant provides a few extra customization options through the Radiant::Config object. These can be set in config/environment.rb after the initialization block or in your own extensions. For example, to set the ‘dev.host’ setting, I would write:
Radiant::Config['dev.host'] = 'preview.mydomain.com' if Radiant::Config.table_exists?
All configuration values (the part after the ‘=’) must be strings or booleans (if the key ends in a question mark). It’s important to include the if statement so that your project will bootstrap normally – without it you may get errors complaining of missing the ‘config’ table.
admin.title
The title that will be displayed in the top-left of the administration interface. The default is “Radiant CMS”.
admin.subtitle
The line underneath the title in the administration interface. The default is “Publishing for Small Teams”.
defaults.page.parts
A comma separated list of page-parts (tabs) that will be available by default on new pages. The default is “body, extended”.
defaults.page.filter
The text filter that new pages will have by default. The default is "" (i.e. none). Other valid options are “Markdown”, “Textile”, “SmartyPants”.
Assuming you have the Fckeditor extension installed and want it to be the default filter, an example config might look like:
Radiant::Config['defaults.page.filter'] = 'Fckeditor'
defaults.page.status
The status that new pages will have by default. The default is “Draft”. Other valid options are “Published”, “Reviewed”, “Hidden”.
dev.host
Provide an alternate ‘dev’ host, or a hostname where you can preview pages that are unpublished. With this option unset or blank, Radiant will match any hostname that starts with ‘dev’ as a ‘dev’ host. With the option set, only the hostname set in the option will be matched.
local.timezone
Rails Timezone provides details on the TimeZone implementation.
If you wish dates and times to be displayed in a timezone other than UTC, set this option to one of the following values (as a string, of course):
