Description: Tools from Pugh et al.'s "Omega Project" for constraint-based compiler tools: The "Omega Library" for constraint manipulation; The "Omega Calculator" (text interface); the "Omega Test" for depedence analysis; the "Uniform Library" for code transformation; and the "Code generation" library for generating the transformed code. I am experimenting with tracking bugs with Lighthouse, but am not yet sure I've got it configure right --- see http://davew_haverford.lighthouseapp.com/projects/13658-the-omega-project/overview (if you can; if you can't, email davew@cs.haverford.edu).

This is the wiki for the Omega Project, the github home of the code from Bill Pugh’s “Omega Project” for constraint-based compiler tools. The original code here is what was on the cs.umd.edu/projects/omega site, described as 1.2 (though the readme said 1.1), as of August 2000.

The immediate goal is to combine all the enhancements/fixes that folks have been doing in various places, specifically:

+ Michelle Strout has agreed to put in the code they have at Colorado State, which allows compilation with modern G++

+ Dave W (me) will be putting in the other bug fixes I did after the 1.2 release (code dating from 2000/2001).
