Expectations

This should be fun and we should all learn something from it. The idea is to collaborate as much as possible to increase both the fun and the learning. The Assignments assignments? are merely a way of spreading the responsibility around for getting particular portions completely. The idea is not to have each person working in their own little world such that we have five radically different styles throughout the code base.

Since we’re using Git, there’s no reason why we shouldn’t take advantage of its collaborative features such as emailing patches to one another on the mailing list for comments. I don’t want to create a bunch of heavy-handed process, but one suggestion would be folks to submit their patches for review via the mailing list. Each module owner will have the ultimate responsibility of managing their “chapter” and the code that goes in there.

We should probably figure out what our branching/merging/pushing/pulling strategy is with git also.
